Designed to complement responsibilities and agreed upon commitments, the Quito Implementation Plan embodies a series of concrete and measurable voluntary commitments by various parties, which intend to reinforce the New Urban Agenda. The Quito Implementation Plan aims to constitute a significant part of the legacy of Habitat III as a real and ongoing action-based platform, creating a space for development initiatives well into the future. Through this initiative, Habitat III aims to ensure a practical platform for anyone who wishes to put forward solution based plans for housing and sustainable urban development to link up with like minded professionals, thereby creating new plateaus of partnership for stakeholders. All voluntary commitments are focused on the implementation of the New Urban Agenda and further reinforcement of sustainable urban development.

Located on the second floor at the main event space of the Conference at the Casa de la Cultura, in a room with a capacity of 250 seats, Urban Stage was intended to be flexible and appeal to the needs of presenters. Events lasted anywhere from 15 minutes to two hours.
