Ms. Nohelia

Nohelia is a girls rights advocate. Since 2010, she is member of the Advisory Council in Cayambe City and she is vice president of the Cantonal Council for Children of Cayambe. Nohelia campaigns on issues affecting girls in her community such as situations of gender violence, access to quality education and the absence of sexual and reproductive rights. Nohelia actively engages in the Municipality of Cayambe and she gives her opinion for approval of municipal ordinances on behalf of children.  She was part of the delegation of girls who participated in the National Assembly of Ecuador sharing the reality that girls live and influence the adoption of the Declaration on Safer Cities for Girls on the international day of the girls child. Nohelia´s dream is to be a parliamentarian to work on the promotion of girl´ rights.
