Javier Perez Burgos
Deputy National Planning Department ColombiaJavier Pérez-Burgos is Deputy of Sustainable Regional Development in Colombia’s; he has been leading strategies to empower Colombian local governments in their planning processes, offering continue capacity building in the territory. Other strategies include the support and construction of better regional and municipal land-use plans, as well as the construction of a strong multipurpose cadaster. Dr. Pérez Burgos is also a faculty member at the Alberto Lleras Camargo School of Public Policy at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. He also led a fellowship program called Liderazgo por Bogotá (Leadership for Bogotá) that targeted recent college graduates.
