Monterrey, 2015 – TECHO participated in the Second Latin American and Caribbean Forum on Adequate Housing, which was held May 6 through 8th in Monterrey, Mexico.
As part of a discussion entitled “Slums in Latin America: From, with, and for its Inhabitants,” TECHO announced the mapping of slums in 9 countries of the region. “If the city is the space in which we develop as citizens, today, a significant percentage of citizens do not have access to this development because they live in slums. If we want cities that are more representative of just societies, we must establish these spaces of discussion with concrete proposals,” explained the Director of TECHO’s Center of Social Investigation (CSI).Read full article
