Experts Urge Integrated Design Today for Sustainable Urbanization Tomorrow

Recent figures from the UN Human Settlements Programme, or UN Habitat, indicate that by 2050 as many as 7 billion people will be living in urban centers, putting enormous strain on economies, societies and the environment. Currently, more than fifty percent of the world's population is already in cities – a figure that grows by several hundred thousand each day.
