Retired Chief Best Practices UN-HABITAT SAFER CITIES PROGRAMME KenyaMs. Seaforth has over 40 years of diversified work experience in various fields working for national and international organizations - including the United Nations, non-governmental organizations academic institution and the private sector. Most of this work had elements of best practice identification as well as best practice analysis for policy implications including gender. She worked for UN-HABITAT for 20 years - in the Gender Mainstreaming Unit, the Istanbul+5 Secretariat and the Best Practices Programme. She was involved in mobilizing women’s networks for inputs to the 1996 Habitat II Conference and the Habitat Agenda Ms. Seaforth has a strong interest in networking for advocacy; as well as the effective linking of grassroots knowledge to policy making.
