Pietro Garau

Prof. Pietro Garau taught urban and territorial planning and urban policies at Sapienza Universita’ di Roma. From 1980 to 2002 he worked with UN-Habitat where he was head of research. He was co-chair of the UN Millennium Project’s Task Force on Improving the Lives of Slum Dwellers and among the founders of INU's Rome Biennial of Public Space, where he led the drafting and adoption of the Charter of Public Space.
