Dr. Takashi Izutsu
Associate Professor The University Of Tokyo JapanTakashi Izutsu, Ph.D. is Associate Professor at The University of Tokyo. After serving as Technical Official at the National Institute of Mental Health, National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry, Japan, Takashi had contributed to global efforts to prioritize mental health and psychosocial well-being as well as mental, intellectual or psychosocial disabilities in policies and programmes to achieve protection and promotion of rights of persons with disabilities as well as in the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the Mental Health and Disability Focal Point in the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Chief, Mental Health and Psychosocial Well-being at the United Nations. He had also worked for the World Bank Group as Senior Knowledge Management Officer and led capacity building efforts on inclusion of persons with disabilities and mainstreaming of mental health and well-being in development as well as disaster risk reduction.
