Head Of GWOPA Global Water Operators Partnerships Alliance/UN-Habitat Spain

Dr. Faraj El-Awar is the Head of the Global Water Operators Partnerships Alliance (GWOPA) Secretariat at UN-Habitat Office in Barcelona, Spain. Dr. El-Awar is a water expert with over 25 years of experience. Prior to heading the GWOPA Secretariat, he was a professor of water management at the American University of Beirut, and the Secretary General of the Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA).
