Urban challenges and sustainable development

Habitat III is the united Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development to take place in Quito, Ecuador, from 17-20 October 2016. As one of the first UN conference after the adoption of the “Agenda for Sustainable Development 2030” and the Paris Climate Change Agreement of COP21, the Conference will offer a unique opportunity to discuss the important challenge of how cities and towns are planned and managed, in order to fulfill their role as drivers of sustainable development.
