Carlo Angeles

Carlo Angeles is Executive Director of the Organization Somos el Presente, an organization that works empowering young people to address sustainable development. He has worked involving young people in decision-making processes in Peru, Colombia and Argentina. He is a member of the Policy & Strategy Group of World We Want 2015, the platform between the United Nations and Civil Society.

He was also member of the Selection Committee of Representatives of Civil Society in the Summit Post Adoption of the 2015 Development Agenda, one of the most important in the history of the UN.

Somos el Presente was the only Peruvian organization be granted special accreditation to participate at the Summit Post Adoption of the Agenda 2015 of the United Nations.

At a national scale, he is advocating for a major youth policy reform. He is working with the support of the Peru´s main political parties, United Nations Millennium Campaign, Concordia and My World 2015.

He has been invited as a speaker at the Annual Meeting of Governors of the World Bank / IMF, II Iberoamerican Congress on Public Innovation, Open Government Global Partnership Summit, TEDxGrau, among others.

Currently he has joined as Chief of Jóvenes Productivos (Peruvian Largest National Program for Youth Unemployment) for Lima and Callao
