Pamela Ransom PhD currently serves as Associate Professor at Metropolitan College of New York in the School of Public Affairs and Administration. She taught Public Administration on the faculty of Long Island University, School of Business, Public Administration and Information Sciences for 14 years in the Masters of Public Administration Program and has taught public administration and policy with other institutions including Northwestern University School of Professional Studies. For almost eight years, she was Special Assistant for Environmental Affairs for the Manhattan Borough President and New York City Mayor. She has served as Program Director for the Women’s Environment and Development Organization and policy advisor for the Huairou Commission working on global programs on women. She previously served as Deputy Director of Town Planning for the Government of Jamaica and consultant for USAID. She has a doctorate in Urban Planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and undergraduate degree from Harvard University.
