Special Rapporteur Office Of The United Nations High Commissioner For Human Rights (OHCHR) CanadaMs. Leilani Farha took up her function as Special Rapporteur on the right to adequate housing on June 2014. She has undertaken official visits to Cabo Verde, Serbia and Kosovo* (UNSC 1244) and India, and will be visiting Portugal shortly.She has presented crucial reports on the role and responsibilities of subnational and local governments regarding the right to housing, on homelessness as a critical human rights issue; on the centrality of human rights for Habitat III and the New Urban Agenda and on the links between the rights to life and to housing.
