Jacob Sean Kalmakoff

MSc Sustainable Urban Development Candidate (2017) UN-Habitat Urban Planning And Design Lab United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

A graduate of the Daniels Faculty of Architecture at the University of Toronto, Jacob has worked in Seoul, South Korea on a wide variety of resilience projects at the neighbourhood, urban and regional scale. Currently an MSc candidate in the Sustainable Urban Development programme at the University of Oxford, his academic interests include the development of systems for climate change adaptation that encompass all four pillars of sustainability. His work at the UN-Habitat Urban Planning and Design Lab in Nairobi explores through research the ways in which settlements in the majority world can be better suited to respond effectively to rapid change.
