Dan leads PwC’s Urbanisation advisory practice which provides support to low and middle income countries to plan, build and run better cities. Working across a diverse portfolio spanning some 2o countries he leads a dedicated group of technical and professional services specialists that create progressive solutions with a focus on economic development strategy and policy, integrated planning, finance and investment, technology and city operations. The team’s work includes leading the UK Government’s global Infrastructure and Cities for Economic Development (ICED) facility, and advising on national urban transition strategies for Ethiopia and Uganda. With academic training and a professional background in utilities, master-planning, environmental and international development, Dan has worked at a range of urban scales with local government, investors and developers from South Africa to India, the UK, USA, Middle East and Europe. Previously Dan ran the energy and master-planning business unit at global engineering firm WSP Group, which followed a role in the PPPdivision of a FTSE 100 utility.
