Alan Jarandilla Nuñez

Alan is an activist and advocate for human rights and international issues. He has worked on projects to raise awareness among young people about sustainable development, human rights, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and climate change and to enhance youth participation at the national and local levels. He has followed the ICPD Beyond 2014 and post-2015 international processes, and currently follows the High Level Political Forum, Human Rights Council, Habitat III, Commission on Population and Development and CSW processes. Alan is member of the Bolivian Youth Organization for Sustainable Development, the Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights and the UN Major Group of Children and Youth, and is a vocal advocate for social justice, sustainable development and the elimination of inequalities. Alan is finishing his studies in Political Science and Law.

Alan believes that the New Urban Agenda must address major issues of sustainable urban development and be coherent with the frameworks of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and other international environment agreements.
